LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State struck early and often on Friday night at Presley Askew Field at Johnson Stadium, using a fouru2011run first inning and fending off a late Prairie View push to earn a 12-6 victory. The Aggies tallied 13 hits, including nine extrau2011base knocks, and scored in five different innings to secure their second straight win.
NM State immediately got on the board as doubles from , , and led to four runs in the first inning.
After Prairie View scored once in the second, NM State responded with two in the third on a Daniels sacrifice fly and a RBI triple.
