Penn State traveled down south to Rocky Top for the Tennessee Invitational and took on a slumping N.C. Central on Friday afternoon. The blazing hot Nittany Lions went undefeated at the SpaceU Classic and entered the game on a nine-game winning streak.
The Nittany Lions exploded offensively late and extended their winning streak, picking up a 6-0 win over N.C. Central.
Despite the blue and white’s bats pouring on runs throughout the start of the season, right-hander Madeline Janssen threw three scoreless innings. The Nittany Lions had bases loaded in the second inning with just one out, but they couldn’t plate any runs.
